Every year Sustainable Development Organization distributes fresh meat on the days of Eid ul Adha, with our aim to uplift the lives of the most disadvantaged people, including orphan children, elderly and widows; those that mostly enjoy this luxury of eating meat once a year in AJK.

“For every hair of the Qurbani you receive a reward from Allah (SWT).” (Tirmidhi)

Today, one in nine people will go to bed hungry tonight – that’s 820 million people without enough food to eat. And as COVID-19 continues to spread across the globe, the most vulnerable families need your help just to find food this Eid.
“It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah, but it is piety from you that reaches Him.”
Qur’an 22:37
Keeping the view of food scarcity issue in AJK, we preferably choose only the highest quality animals from the alpine pasture of AJK for Qurbani in line with Islamic principles.

And whoever makes things easy for a person in difficulty, Allah will ease for him in this world and the Next. Since 2014, SDO works with people and communities of AJK to support poor families in Azad Jammu & Kashmir through distribution of food items which will meet their nutrition needs in the Holy Month of Ramadan. Across the state, we distribute family food packs with essentials such as dates, oil, rice, pulses and wheat for the whole month, meaning families can instead focus on the spiritual duties of the month rather than where the next meal will come from.

Pregnant women, small children, older people, and disabled people are especially vulnerable.
Our Winter Emergency Project provides essential winter support to those who need it most, wherever they may be.
Without your help, we simply can’t protect the most at-risk this winter. Donate to this fund if you care less about where your donation ends up, and more about making sure the most vulnerable people survive winter.
