Sustainable Development Organization (SDO) is a right based organization established in August 14, 2009 aimed to empower vulnerable communities and marginalized voiceless groups. SDO registered as Not-for Profit Organization in Joint Stock Companies & Firms AJ&K (#224 Mzd) under “The Companies Ordinance, 1984 under /section 42. Its Head Office is located in Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir with 02 field offices in AJ&K and 01 liaison office in Islamabad. Its program areas are Child rights, education & research, health, livelihood, sustainable development, energy, advocacy on human rights & governance and women empowerment.
Currently SDO is implementing it project “Economic Empowerment of Kashmiri Female Artisans through Skills Enhancement” with the financial assistance of USAID- Small Grants and Ambassador’s Fund Program. Through this program SOD has identified 160 trainees in two trades i.e Needle work (Kashmiri Embroidery) and Aar Work (Gaba Sazi).
From the past SDO has observed that simply the provision of Skill Development Training was not enough for sustainable livelihood of beneficiaries, it required business development and Management skills to attract customers and acquire financial resources and their efficient utilization. Support in establishing their business setup, development of market linkages and various stakeholders, which was not focused in that training.

To minimize this issue SDO has planned 03 days Business Development and Management Training of 160 trainees at their respective Vocational Training Centers. Proposed training aims to identity the Weakness, Strengths and opportunities and proposed solutions to overcome these issues. Through this advertisement
Terms & Eligibility Criteria
SDO looking for applications from interested individual consultants on following terms and conditions.
  • Developing Training Course Contents in consultation with SDO Management
  • Training execution on Business Development and Management
  • Developing handout of training sessions
  • Detailed Post Training Report.
  • The candidate should have Master Degree in social Science with at least 03 years’ experience with National or International Organizations in marketing and enterprises development.

Under a contract with Embassy of Japan, Sustainable Development Organization (SDO) a right based organization, empowering the voiceless people across Azad Jammu & Kashmir is implementing a project titled “Construction of Girls Model School in Phullawai”. Through this project, SDO will provide quality education to more than 100 girls children from Phullawai Gurase Valley in District Neelum, AJ&K. SDO needs the services of engineer consultant firm or construction company for the assignment.

  • C-6 / C-5 category Company registered with Pakistan Engineering Council
  • Having 2-5 years experience of Construction of School building
  • Have Civil Engineer in the Company Board of Directors or as employee of the Company

Consultancy Services Required
(For baseline survey in three districts of Muzaffarabad AJK Division)
Sustainable Development Organization (SDO) is a registered non-government, not-for-profit organization, established in 2009 with the aim of empowering marginalized and voiceless communities/groups. With the support of USAID, SDO is implementing the “Empowering Citizens for Accountability in Education System” project for which it requires the services of Individual Consultant / Consultancy Firm for conducting a baseline survey in three districts of AJK (Muzaffarabad, Hattian and Neelum).
The specific purpose of the survey is to provide SDO’s program team in-depth insight into AJK’s education policy, budgetary allocation and expenditure in order to help identify gaps and weaknesses at the structural and policy level in the education sector.  The surveys will include the collection of data from school and education department officials as well as parents, together with data gathered from school and public records and documents including the state education budget.
